Dr. Arena has been a well-known physician for over 40 years practicing Anesthesiology. He is a graduate of Chalmette High School, LSU Medical School, and completed his residency of Anesthesia at Tulane University Medical School. After Dr. Arena completed his residency, he then pursued Board Certification in Anesthesiology and expertise in bariatric surgery. He has been involved with over 100,000 anesthetic and other medical procedures during the course of his career, and, still practices part-time. Dr. Arena serves as Chief of the Medical Staff at Northern Louisiana Medical Center. Dr. Arena is not only proficient in the hospital, but also has experience with the medical spa industry after serving as Medical Director for another entity for almost two decades. He brings with him in depth knowledge of Advanced Skin Esthetics, Hormones, Medically Supervised Weight Loss, and is certified in all sectors of his practice.

Mrs. Arena carries with her over 23 years experience in the medical field. Gaining extensive clinical experience as an RN, DON, CNO, Administrator, Regional Administrator, and College Nursing Instructor. She continues to strive to advance her education. Mrs. Arena completed her BSN, MSN, MHA, and finally, FNP-C. She made the jump from clinical medicine to esthetics with the opening of Southern Skin City Medical Spa in 2016. Mrs. Arena completed her professional medical esthetic training from the Esthetic Skin Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine. She also sought additional training in fitness, nutrition and weight management to expand services clients could access. She is a Certified Fitness Trainer, and Body Pump Instructor. In 2020, Mrs. Arena introduced Family Practice, and Biote Hormones to Southern Skin City, and has been providing all around healthcare, and esthetic services for her clients since then as a Certified Biote Provider. Mrs. Arena is a member of American Nurse Practitioner’s Association, and Association of Medical Esthetics for Nurse Practitioners. She also teaches other medical professionals, doctors, and nurse practitioners in her clinics the skills they need to succeed in Hormone Therapy, Anti-aging Medicine, and operating a successful business. She also reigned as Mrs. New Orleans, America in 2016, and continues to promote her platform protecting elderly at-risk individuals from abuse and neglect. Mrs. Arena strives to build strong long-lasting relationships with her clients/patients to better treat their healthcare needs, and to empower their overall health and wellbeing.
